Part I Chapter 2: The Return
It’d been three days since Kritzia went missing from the village. Early evening came and a youngish figure, a girl, stumbled through the forest edge into the clearing. Marcus was working in the field with his father, when he looked up to see his friend clutch her shoulder and fall over in pain.
Marcus immediately dropped his shovel and hurried over, his father not far behind. As the two reached the fallen girl, they notice the injuries she sustained. They swiftly gathered Kritzia and her remaining clothing, and moved her to the house.

Marcus kicked open the door to the house so his father could bring Kritzia in, and cleared the table with one swipe. His father laid her out to on the old wooden tabletop.
“Marcus, Go get the doctor!”
“But, I want to stay with her.”
“Marcus!”
“Yes, sir.”
“And be quick about it!”
Marcus ran out the door and through the village street straight for the doctor’s house.
Yelling at the top of his lungs, while pounding on the door, “Doctor Malcolm! Doctor Malcolm! Come quick!” Marcus opens the door.
“Marcus, calm down! What is it, my boy?” the doctor asked.
“Kritzia!” Marcus said with a gasp. “She’s returned!”
“Where??” Marcus returns, “Father has her! Come quick,” still gasping!
“Marcus, go find her parents and bring them,” the doctor stated as he grabbed his cloak and his bag.
“Yes sir,” Marcus said as he ran out the door.
Doctor Malcolm hurried out the door toward his destination, still awkwardly fastening his cloak with his one free hand.
